    Phase Lock (PLO)

    Description:

    Phase Lock Crystal Oscillators are widely employed in commercial and military applications requiring a precise signal synchronized with a more stable external reference and/or improved phase noise performance. Wenzel Associates’ phase lock oscillators consist of an oven compensated low or ultra-low phase noise crystal oscillator, comparator, loop amplifier and dividers/multipliers for scaling the reference and internal oscillator signals for locking at a common frequency. When a reference is present, the comparator will produce an error voltage which is applied to the varactor of the internal oscillator, and will electrically tune the oscillator until the frequency is matched and phase locked with the reference. Wenzel offers PLO solutions with output frequencies from 5 MHz to 12 GHz. Please contact our technical staff to discuss your specific application needs.
